PPA awards for editorial and publishing excellence-2006
Among all magazine titles that were shortlisted for the PPA awards was Wallpaper*. Wallpaper* run for the ‘International Consumer Magazine of the Year’ and lost over T3 by Future Publishing. To be honest I was surpriced to see that it didn’t won since it was already in the shortlist
Also it was nominated for the title of the best ‘Consumer Lifestyle Magazine of the Year’ and lost again over Country Living owned The National Magazine Company.
Wallpaper* launched ‘travel magazine’
Wallpaper* the well-established design and lifestyle title, launched an urban travel magazine in Feb 2004. Named Navigator*, the bi-annual publication will give a new ‘perspective and unique insight’ to some of the world’s best cities.
A short summary: Navigator* is an extension of the travel section within Wallpaper*, and features 10 different cities in each edition. The journal is packed with a level of detail, meaning that review and listing sections will tell readers where to eat, drink and stay as well as which table you should be requesting, which hotel suite had the best view and which bars have the best looking crowds and on which night!
It comes in an A4 American size format and it costs £5.99 in the UK.
